Tim Morris

Head Coach
Tim Morris begins his 28th season as the head football coach at Melrose High School and his 39th season as a Melrose High School football coach. Coach Morris is the only Melrose native to have played for MHS and then return to lead the team as head coach.
Over his 27 years as the varsity coach, Tim has been the recipient of numerous accolades and awards including several Boston Globe Coach of the Year, Middlesex Coach of the Year, Patriot Coach of the Week awards, and, in 2019, was inducted into the Massachusetts High School Football Coaches Association (MHSFCA) Hall of Fame.
Coach Morris wrestled and played football at Melrose, before graduating in 1978 and attending Bridgton Academy for 1 year, then going on to play four years at Springfield College. He earned his Master's Degree in Education from the University of Massachusetts and was a long-time teacher at Melrose High School. Coach Morris resides in Melrose with his wife Maria. Their three sons Michael Sean, and Tim all attended Melrose High School. In addition to football, Coach Morris is the head coach of the boys' track team at Melrose High School.
